Vinyasa
Postures linked in continuous sequences, one movement per breath. You will be warm.
Typically flowing · moderate
The default class on most schedules. Postures are strung together and you move between them on the breath, so the class has a rhythm and rarely fully stops.
Sequences are the teacher’s own, so two vinyasa classes can feel quite different. What they share is continuity.
What to expect
- Sun salutations early, and repeated
- Chaturanga and downward dog as connective tissue
- Standing sequences that build, then floor work
- Cueing that comes quickly — you’re following, not being taught
Level
Pitched at all levels, but it moves. For a first class, foundations teaches you more.
All levels welcome. Every class here is open to every body. Teachers offer options throughout, resting whenever you want to is always fine, and no studio expects you to know the poses on your first visit. Tell the teacher it is your first time — they would rather know.
Who it suits
- Wanting a proper physical class with a rhythm
- Anyone who likes being absorbed enough to stop thinking
- A few classes in, ready for continuity
What it gives you
- Full-body movement that raises your heart rate
- Transitions repeated until they stop needing thought
- The class most likely to leave you worked and settled
Before you go
Towel and water. Grip matters once your hands are damp — studios lend mat towels.
On heat — The most common class here, and often heated. Treat a hot flow as one step harder than the same class cool, and drink more than you think.
